Why filter changes matter more than you think
A clogged filter starves the coil of airflow. That drops efficiency, freezes the coil in humid weather, and shortens blower motor life. Every "no cool in July" call we get, we're checking the filter first.
What to buy
For most Volusia homes, a MERV 11–13 pleated filter is the sweet spot. Higher restricts airflow unless your system is designed for a media cabinet.
